POLICY AND PROCEDURES FOR THE USE AND RESERVATION OF TENNIS COURTS
The tennis courts at Addie’s Pond are for the exclusive use of Addie’s Pond residents and their
invited guests. These procedures are established to ensure fairness of use by all Addie’s Pond
residents. The tennis courts hours of operation are 8:00 am to 10:00 pm daily. Courts will be
used and reservations made and implemented in accordance with the procedures contained
herein.
SECTION I – USE AND RESERVATIONS:
1. Only tennis may be played on the tennis courts. No skates, skateboards, roller skates,
bicycles, etc. will be allowed. No other activity other than tennis may be conducted on the
tennis courts without the expressed approval of the HOA Board of Directors.
2. Only Addie’s Pond residents and their invited guests may use the tennis courts. Invited
guests must be accompanied by the resident.
3. Residents in good standing with the Addie’s Pond Home Owners’ Association (HOA) are
entitled to use all facilities of the HOA. Residents not in good standing with the HOA will not
be allowed use of any HOA facilities including the tennis courts (see HOA covenants).
4. Residents must not divulge the combination of the tennis court locks to unauthorized
persons (non-residents).
5. Residents may use the courts at anytime on a first-come basis without a reservation unless
they are properly reserved in accordance with this policy.
6. Time limits for the use of a court are two (2) hours for singles play and three (3) hours for
doubles play.
7. Residents using the courts will ensure the courts are left clean and report all damages to the
HOA Recreation Committee after each use.
8. Residents using the courts are responsible for opening, closing, turning the lights off and
properly securing (locking) the courts.
9. Reservations will be made on the court signup sheet located on the bulletin board located on
the fence to the right of the main entry to the courts. Reservations should be made as far in
advance as possible.
10. Reservations are forfeited if play has not commenced within ten (10) minutes of the reserved
start time. Reservations made and not used abuse a privilege. Residents should remove
their names as soon as it is known that a court reservation will not be used.
11. For other than lessons, only four persons are allowed on a court at the same time.
12. Children ages 15 and under may not reserve courts during the evenings (after 6:00 pm) or
on weekends and must relinquish the court if adults arrive and wish to play. Exceptions

during previous seasons. (Teams hosted by the HOA will hereinafter be referred to as
Addie’s Pond Teams or AP Teams.)
2. Requests from residents for the HOA to host a league team must be submitted to the
Recreation Committee at least two weeks prior to the beginning of the season. Court
reservations will be made in accordance with paragraph 6A below.
3. The minimum number of Addie’s Pond residents that must be on a team for the team to be

4. Teams not hosted by the HOA (outside teams), may not use the courts for practice or league
play.
5. A one-time, per-season court use fee, as established by the HOA, will be assessed for each
non-resident member of the team. These fees will be collected by the resident that is the

home match of each season.
6. AP Teams will be afforded priority for use and reservations of courts under the following
conditions and must adhere to the following procedures:
